Anywhere that there
is a water table a few feet below the sand will enable you to obtain clean
clear fresh water with this excellent Queensland invention. Ideal for places
such as the Cooloolah Coast and Fraser Island this sandspear could be used
in many other places. One of the problems in being in a high salt environment
is that corrosion starts very quickly. Imagine how great it would be to wash
the salt off your vehicle or boat or to be able to flush out the cooling
system of your expensive outboard engine. It would be pretty good to wash
the salt and sand off yourself as well.
National Parks have now declared that you cannot camp within 100 metres
of a creek, no creeks can be dammed or disturbed. When camping in these areas
it is a daily routine to obtain fresh water. Eliminate that unnecessary beach
travel, high fuel cost, erosion and other environmental problems with a sand
spear.
