More power for your Mitsubishi
The performance kit that we have developed for the 3.5 litre V6 Pajero is mainly exhaust orientated. We spent a lot of time and money looking at many ways of improving this engines performance and concluded that the maximum gain for dollar spent was replacing the exhaust.
We use a particular type of extractors, replacement convertor and muffler and know that this combination gives the best results. Other combinations can make a big difference in performance, downwards.
We also recommend a Hiclone air management device and a Unifilter free flow air cleaner. Final output can vary from vehicle to vehicle but an increase in the 15 to 20% mark is usual. The engine has far more pulling power or torque and is usually a gear better uphills than standard.
People who tow enjoy a different vehicle that is far more responsive and handles hills better, again with less gear changing.You can see from the photos how the flow of the exhaust gases can be improved by removing all those bends and that huge power reducing muffler.
The noise level of the exhaust is still kept below the legal limits and is only marginally different to standard but sounds a lot nicer. In kit form we supply extractors, Hi flow converter, muffler and resonator.
To keep shipping costs down we suggest that the intermediate pipes be supplied locally by your exhaust fitter. You can see in the photographs how the new system smooths out the bends in the system to give better flow. The new catalytic converter and free flow muffler are more compact and are far less restrictive than the original system. |
