Long Range Fuel Tanks
Extra fuel for those long trips
Long Range Automotive use a Farley computer controlled plasma cutting system. With this they ensure accuracy, providing every customer with a high quality, precision made long range fuel tank.
All welds are full penetration corner to corner MIG welded using a high quality inert shielding gas and level layer wound MIG wire to ensure good penetration and exclusion of porosity in the weld. This ensures excellent structural durability, giving you years of trouble free use.
Tanks are also fully internally baffled (to prevent fuel surge) and expansion chambers are incorporated in the design to allow for expansion when the fuel temperature increases. All tanks are pressure tested and checked by separate quality control procedures to ensure they are totally clean inside.
Only top quality materials such as 2mm sheet steel, brass threaded hose barb fittings, stainless steel hose clamps and high tensile bolts with nyloc nuts are used to ensure long life and durability.
The tank uses the same filler point as the original and standard fuel gauges are fully compatible.
