Rotronics Battery Isolators
A new series of Australian-designed Rotronics isolators have just been released. These state-of-the-art units feature a fully integrated electronic design and voltage slope monitor control, which provides you with considerably more control over the process of recharging your main and auxiliary batteries and makes a once-risky operation safer, simpler and up to 50% faster.
Voltage slope monitor control measures the voltage charge slope of the alternator rather than the voltage sense at the Main Battery. This supplies information to the isolator about:
- Different size alternators.
- Different capacity batteries.
- Circuit load changes (ie. headlights, air conditioning etc).
The isolator, in turn, uses this information for improved control of the battery recharging process. It's almost like having artificial intelligence in the unit! Furthermore, the new Rotronics isolators now feature:
- Electronic spike protection
