| Early in 1996,
Mazda entered the diesel four wheel drive market for the second time with
the introduction of the 2.5 Litre 3 valve per cylinder diesel Bravo/Ford
Courier. This vehicle is equipped with one of the most sophisticated and
efficient engines in its class.
Soon after the release, DTS
saw a need to develop a turbosystem to complement this excellent exercise
in engineering and have, after many months of testing, released one that's
second to none in performance, design and durability.
The main aim in producing a
turbocharger for this engine was to make use its many innovative features
- the main one being the excellent cylinder head design incorporating multi-valve
technology (a feature no other manufacturer has utilised in this class of
engine previously!)
DTS decided to only offer the
system with intercooler - enabling DTS to be the only manufacturer to achieve
a power increase of 50 percent! All this for a similar price
to competitors who are achieving 10 percent less!
Some of the innovative features
used in this system include:
-
Ductile iron cast exhaust manifold.
-
Intercooler supplied as standard
equipment.
-
Heavy duty clutch supplied
as standard equipment.
-
Water-cooled Mitsubishi TD04
Turbocharger giving a smoother, more progressive delivery of power than any
other.
-
Easy, fast fitting using as
many standard parts as possible.
-
Connection to standard exhaust.
-
Backed by the DTS warranty
through 10 Company owned locations Australia wide!
-
Superior power and Torque.
